Terms & conditions

The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card.
  • “Promotional Period” refers to the period from November 28, 2025 to February 25, 2026.
  • “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.
  • “Eligible” refers to qualification to receive and open an email invitation from Mastercard® to participate in the campaign. If the Cardholder does not receive and opens an email invitation from Mastercard®, they will not be eligible to participate in the campaign, regardless of reaching the spend goal.
  • "Purchases" means any retail, internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction made in local or USD currency.
  • “Eligible Purchases/Transactions” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges) made in local or USD currency.
  • "Spend Goal” refers to the predetermined amount, that will be shared with selected Cardholders by way of email, and which must be met by making eligible purchases or transactions using their eligible credit card.
  • "Cash back Reward" refers to the amount that will be credited to a Card holder's Scotiabank credit card account when they satisfy their personalized accumulated spend target during the Promotional Period.
  • “Good standing” means the account should not be overlimit or past due any amount during the promotion period.
  • “Eligible credit cards” refers only to Scotiabank retail Mastercard credit cards. Transactions made using a Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion. Other Scotiabank retail credit cards are not eligible for this promotion.
  • "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means Scotiabank Turks and Caicos Ltd.

This Promotion is open to legal residents fo Turks and Caicos Islands who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of the named country.

How to Participate

Cardholders from the different countries must open at least one (1) of the emails sent during the Promotional Period addressed to the Cardholder and use the eligible credit card identified in the invitation email. Clients will be invited to participate via the email address registered with Scotiabank, where they will be informed of the spend goal they must meet and the credit card with which they must reach the accumulated spending goal during the Promotion Period, in order to receive a cash back reward, that will be specified in the same email.

The minimum spending requirement for each country is inclusive of Value Added Tax and/or such other Government taxes as applicable in the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed. 

Cash back Prize

The cash back reward will be credited to the credit card that was invited to participate in the Promotion. The maximum value of this cash back is per client and is specified in the promotional communications sent through email.

Turks and Caicos

Client will receive their personalized cash back reward after achieving their personalized spend goal.

Timing of Credit

  • Once the Cardholder has satisfied the requirements of this promotion, the Cash back Reward earned will be credited to the Cardholder's Scotiabank credit card account no later than ninety (90) days from the end of the Promotional Period.
  • Example: If the client meets their spend goal on December 31, 2025 and the campaign ends January 31, 2026; the client will be credited their cash back reward no later than April 30, 2026.

Eligibility

  • This Promotion is open to legal residents of the Turks, aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees. Employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Eligibility is restricted to select Cardholders whose credit card account is still active at the time of the draw, is in good standing and has not been frozen or closed.
  • Client must meet their personalized spend goal that will be communicated to them in the email communication during the promotional period.
  • To be eligible to receive the cash back reward, the client must open at least one of the emails sent during the Promotion Period, noting that the communication is addressed to the client receiving the offer.
  • This Promotion includes eligible purchases/transactions, as long as they are made during the Promotion Period.
  • Transactions from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.  

Draw - Consumer Disclosure / Notification of winners. 

  • Eligibility is restricted to selected Cardholders whose accounts are still active at the time of crediting the Cash back Reward, are in good standing and have not been frozen or closed.
  • Once a Cardholder opens any of the invitation emails during the Promotional Period and subsequently uses their Eligible Credit Card to make purchases during the Promotional Period, it constitutes the Cardholder's consent to participate in this Promotion.
  • Only existing cardholders who are up to date with payments on their eligible credit card, and who do not have any past due (delinquent) accounts on any other products they hold with Scotiabank, are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
  • All existing cardholders must have an active eligible credit card during the Promotion Period to participate.
  • Additionally, their eligible credit card must not have any of the following status during the Promotion Period at the time of making purchases and receiving the cash back reward: under a payment agreement, blocked, reported as stolen or lost, canceled, or obtained illegally.
  • U.S. Dollar purchases will be calculated at the exchange rate of the day at the end of the promotion.
  • Participating clients acknowledge that only the primary cardholders who make purchases with the eligible card mentioned in the communication will be eligible for the cash back. However, purchases made with supplementary cards will be counted towards meeting the spend goal.
  • Any claims related to this promotion must be submitted no later than 90 days after the end of the promotion.
  • Cash advances, purchases in casinos or for gambling, as well as card issuance, renewal fees, and interest charges, are not eligible.
  • A Cardholder's cash back reward earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited if the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any time during the Promotion.
  • Cash back Rewards earned during this Promotion are not transferable and are subject to change at any time by Mastercard® and Scotiabank.
  • Scotiabank participates only as a means of payment and is not responsible for the products or services purchased by the Cardholder during the Promotional Period.
  • Cardholders who receive the cash back reward will be responsible for any taxes, tips, insurance, and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their reward, and must agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Bank from and against all claims, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion.
  • The above terms and conditions are in addition to, and do not replace, the terms and conditions applicable to the Mastercard® Scotiabank Credit Card.

In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.

  • Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
  • Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank's decision is final.

These terms and conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank's other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.

  • Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
  • The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the prizes which result from circumstances outside of its control.
  • Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the prize.
