Credit Checklist

Use the following checklist to make sure you have everything you need in order to get a credit card, Scotia Plan Loan, or ScotiaLine credit line:

Identification - two of the following valid pieces of ID:

• Passport
• Driver's licence
• Identification card

Proof of Employment:

• Employment letter
• Salary slips/letters

Utilities Bills - two of the following:

• Telephone bill
• Electricity bill
• Water bill

Summary of Assets and Liabilities:

• Confirmation of existing loans and credit card debt including hire purchase balances
• Confirmation of disclosed assets, savings

Purpose of Loan (Scotia Plan Loan, ScotiaLine) documents:

• Invoice
• Purchase agreement

Self-Employment documents:

• Proof of self-employment e.g. filed income tax returns, financial statements for the last 6-12 months
