Terms & conditions

The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card.
  • “Promotional Period” refers to the period from December 5, 2025 to January 7, 2026.
  • “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.
  • “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion.
  • "Purchases" refer to any retail, internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction made in local or USD currency.
  • “Eligible Purchases/Transactions” refers to any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges) made in local or USD currency.
  • “Spend Goal” refers to the predetermined minimum accumulated transaction amount which must be met by making eligible purchases or performing eligible transactions using an Eligible credit card.
  • "Cash back Reward" refers to the amount that will be credited to a Cardholder's Scotiabank credit card account when they satisfy the Spend Goal during the Promotional Period.
  • “Membership Rewards®” refers to the rewards accumulated from purchases made using the Scotiabank American Express® The Platinum Card, which can be exchanged for benefits listed on the Scotia Rewards Platform.
  • “Scotia Points” refers to the rewards accumulated from purchases made using the Scotiabank AERO Platinum Mastercard, which can be exchanged for benefits listed on the Scotia Rewards Platform.
  • “AAdvantage® Miles” refers to the rewards accumulated from purchases made using the Scotiabank AAdvantage® credit card, which can be exchanged for benefits listed on the American Airlines® Rewards Platform.
  • “Good standing” means the account should not be overlimit or past due any amount during the promotion period.
  • “Eligible credit cards” refers to any Scotiabank retail credit cards. Transactions made using a Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion.
  • “Non-Rewards Cards” refers to any retail credit card where the standard value proposition does not include the accumulation of cash back, Scotia Points, AAdvantage® miles or Membership Rewards® for every purchase made.
  • "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means Scotiabank Turks and Caicos Ltd.

This Promotion is open to legal residents of Turks and Caicos who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of the named country.

How to Participate

In this Promotion, Scotiabank Cardholders will earn promotional benefits as detailed in the chart below for each country listed. The minimum spending requirement for each country is inclusive of Value Added Tax and/or such other Government taxes as applicable in the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed.

Timing of Credit

  • Once the Cardholder has satisfied the requirements of this promotion, the reward will be credited to the Cardholder's Scotiabank credit card account no later than ninety (90) days from the end of the Promotional Period.
  • The promotional period ends on January 7, 2026. Cardholders will be credited their reward no later than April 7, 2026.

Eligibility

  • This Promotion is open to legal residents of theTurks and Caicos aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees. Employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Eligibility is restricted to select Cardholders whose credit card account is still active at the time of the draw, is in good standing and has not been frozen or closed.
  • Client must meet their personalized spend goal that will be communicated to them in the email communication during the promotional period.
  • To be eligible to receive the cash back reward, the client must open at least one of the emails sent during the Promotion Period, noting that the communication is addressed to the client receiving the offer.
  • This Promotion includes eligible purchases/transactions, as long as they are made during the Promotion Period.
  • Transactions from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.  

Draw - Consumer Disclosure / Notification of winners. 

  • Only existing cardholders who are up to date with payments on their eligible credit card, and who do not have any past due (delinquent) accounts on any other products they hold with Scotiabank, are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
  • All existing cardholders must have an active eligible credit card during the Promotion Period to participate.
  • Additionally, their eligible credit card must not have any of the following status during the Promotion Period at the time of making purchases and receiving the cash back reward: under a payment agreement, blocked, reported as stolen or lost, canceled, or obtained illegally.
  • U.S. Dollar purchases will be calculated at the exchange rate of the day at the end of the promotion.
  • Participating clients acknowledge that only the cardholders who make purchases with the eligible credit card mentioned in the table above will be eligible for the reward. However, purchases made with supplementary cards will be counted towards meeting the spend goal.
  • Any claims related to this promotion must be submitted no later than 90 days after the end of the promotion.
  • Cash advances, purchases in casinos or for gambling, as well as card issuance, renewal fees, and interest charges, are not eligible.
  • A Cardholder's reward earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited if the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any time during the Promotion.
  • Rewards earned during this Promotion are not transferable and are subject to change at any time by Scotiabank.
  • Scotiabank participates only as a means of payment and is not responsible for the products or services purchased by the Cardholder during the Promotional Period.
  • Cardholders who receive the reward will be responsible for any taxes, tips, insurance, and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their reward, and must agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Bank from and against all claims, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion.
  • The above terms and conditions are in addition to, and do not replace, the terms and conditions applicable to the Scotiabank Credit Card.
  • In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.
  • Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
  • Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank's decision is final.
  • These terms and conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank's other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
  • Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
  • The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the prizes which result from circumstances outside of its control.
  • Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the prize.
