Scotiabank is aware of recent statements circulating on social media suggesting that some client accounts have been compromised. We want to assure our clients and the public that these reports are entirely unfounded. Scotiabank’s systems remain secure, and there has been no breach or compromise of our channels. Our client safety is our top priority. We maintain robust security measures to protect both our systems and your accounts.

We can confirm that there were delays affecting the processing of certain Visa debit card transactions. These transactions were on hold and are now being processed. As a result, clients may notice that transactions from last month are being posted during the current week.
